Great job on finding a suitable venue. I look up to all women who can actually pull off putting together a wedding because I don't think I have the organizational skills to pull it off. It's essentially the largest party you'll ever have!

Well. I'm no bride-to-be, but I have venue stories to add.
I once went to a wedding on a little island in the middle of a pond in a park. There was a quaint white bridge stretching from the mainland to the island, which was about big enough for 75 little white folding chairs and the arbour for the ceremony.
Very pretty.
My brother got married on the beach at sunset. It was a nice casual wedding. Actually, in some of the photos you can see a couple guys in their swim suits staring at the ceremony, obviously oblivious to the camera.
Also very pretty.
Both outdoor weddings, and both pretty inexpensive for the budget.
I was in a wedding once that was all at one place, a Best Western on Georgian Bay. We stayed there the night before, had breakfast, the ceremony, the photos and the reception there. VERY convenient, and cuts the transportation costs.
Plus they take care of all the set up and tear down. (A neat feature if you can afford it, otherwise, just designate extra ushers.)
That's my venue vernacular for today.
Also, in the spirit of Canada Day, because it's more than just a day, I wrote my very own, "reasons to love Canada" blog with a special focus on Canadian Innovators. (Did you know a Canadian first invented the light bulb and then sold it to Edison?)
